Last Monday 21st November, an event completely dedicated to Gavi DOCG was held at MAS – Museum aan de Strom in Antwerp and it was reserved to specialized press and industry professionals.

For the very first time in Belgium, Gavi DOCG has been the protagonist of the thematic masterclass entitled “Gavi DOCG: Exploring the Latest Vintages and the Ageing Potential of Piedmont’s Great White” that allowed participants to taste different vintages of Gavi DOCG from 2014 to 2021 and to acquire further knowledge about the unique characteristics of this white wine and its potential for aging.

It was held by Sara Repetto, Consorzio Tutela del Gavi brand manager, and Salvator Vandewalle, wine educator.

Following the masterclass there has been a professional tasting experience featuring more than 80 labels which gave participants the chance to taste all the nuances of Gavi DOCG.

The event was a great success and the Consorzio is proud of it. «Even if Gavi DOCG is already appreciated all over Belgium, the event in Antwerp confirmed that the interest of press and trade in our appellation and in our territory is constantly growing» says the President Maurizio Montobbio - «The Belgian appointment was the conclusion of Gavi World Tour’s first year of activities and we can say that it has been for us a chance to learn more for the promotion of the Great White Wine of Piedmont».
