MIDTOWN LOFT & TERRACE MANHATTAN

Last Wednesday 7th September, the third and last leg of the Gavi World Tour was held in New York and it was a great success. Masterclasses and walk-around tasting have been successfully “sold out” among attendees.

The Great White Wine of Piedmont splendidly shone in the heart of Manhattan, among the halls of the Midtown Loft & Terrace. The walk-around tasting of more than 70 labels and two masterclasses allowed the specialized press and industry operators to explore this inclusive and sophisticated white wine and its rich personality.

The two masterclass - Gavi DOCG: Exploring the Latest Vintages and The Hidden Depths of Gavi DOCG, the Ageing Potential of Piedmont’s Great White – have both been conducted by Walter Speller, Italian editor for Jancisrobinson.com and focused on the unique Cortese grape and its aging potential.

This successful event in New York has allowed the Consorzio to show both opinion leaders and industry operators an extraordinary and full overview of one Piedmont’s most intriguing denominations for which the USA represents one of the main markets.
