On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Briza on the Bay in Miami will host an exceptional event: the first-ever large-scale tasting exclusively dedicated to Gavi DOCG in the city. Organized by the Consorzio Tutela del Gavi, this event is an unmissable opportunity to discover the great white wine of Piedmont in the vibrant setting of Miami.
From 11:00 am to 5:30 pm, the event will welcome press and industry professionals to immerse themselves in the world of Gavi DOCG.
A masterclass led by Jeff Porter - Sommelier, Wine Writer, Educator - will start at 11:00 am and will delve into the unique qualities of Gavi DOCG, showcasing some highlights from a range of Gavi producers.
Adding to the experience, attendees can explore more than 30 distinct Gavi labels in a walk-around tasting starting from 12:30 pm, offering a full overview of one Piedmont’s most intriguing denominations.

The Gavi DOCG denomination completely or partly includes the territories of 11 municipalities in the province of Alessandria: Bosio, Capriata d'Orba, Carrosio, Francavilla Bisio, Gavi, Novi Ligure, Parodi Ligure, Pasturana, San Cristoforo, Serravalle Scrivia and Tassarolo.
Gavi DOCG is traditionally produced from 100% Cortese grapes grown within a predominantly hilly area situated in the southern part of the province of Alessandria.
